BSE / NSE Sensex- The Sensex closed down over 200 points on Wednesday. Yes Bank shares declined by 5.55 per cent. The Nifty has also closed below 11,900.
New Delhi: The market opened on Wednesday after the stock market closed on Tuesday. However, the market returned shortly after opening with a red mark. The BSE Sensex opened marginally lower at 40,321 points on Wednesday. The Nifty has opened above the 11,900 mark.
In early trade, the shares of Yes Bank, Coal India, TCS, Power Grid, Britannia were seen in the Nifty, while Hindalco, Infi, Cipla shares declined.
On the other hand, in the early trade, shares of Yes Bank, TCS, Tech Mahindra etc. were seen in the early trade. While shares of LT, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ONGC, ICICI Bank, SBI etc. declined in early trade.
3.30 pm: Sensex fell by 229 points 40,116.06points closed, while the Nifty closed down at 11,834 levels. The stock of banks has seen the biggest decline in Wednesday’s business. Yes Bank fell 5.5 percent.
1.50 pm: The BSE Sensex hit a low of 40,296 with a 48-point gain, while the Nifty dropped 20 points to 11,893.
1.00 pm: BSE Sensex reached 40,327 points, while Nifty reached 11,898 level. Yes Bank shares fell 3.36 per cent, while ONGC, HDFC Bank, Kotak Bank saw a fall.
12.00 pm: The Sensex fell to 40,319 points in the afternoon, while the Nifty also saw a fall. The NSE Nifty reached 11,898 level in the afternoon.
