He also said that 40 such sleeper class trains will be ready by 2022. Yadav said that many improvements have been made in the Delhi-Katra train. Such as more convenient seats and catering space. Its weight is less, which will also reduce energy consumption.

Announcing on Twitter, the Railway Minister said that “I am very happy to inform that, the second Vande Bharat Express, built under the state-of-the-art and Make in India, completed the trial run from New Delhi to Katra, the shrine of Mother Vaishno Devi. It has been done and this train will be started in Navratro for the devotees of Mother.

Yadav said that the Railway Board chose the Delhi-Katra route because it is very busy due to devotees going to Vaishno Devi. This high-speed train will reduce travel time between Delhi and Katra. Katra is the last railway station on the way to the Vaishno Devi temple. The journey between Delhi and Katra at present takes 12 hours by train, which will be reduced to eight hours after the start of Vande India.

The first Vande Bharat Express or Train 18 was started on the Delhi-Varanasi route. On allegations of disturbances in the construction of the first two trains, he said that some “irregularities” were found in the Chennai-based coach factory, but it was not about the Vande Bharat Express.

“We had received complaints of procurement disturbances at the coach factory,” he said. As such the price was much higher than the common price. The vigilance department investigated and found that there were some irregularities. ”Yadav said that the investigation would be completed in the next three months.
